Our Sunday Walk

We went on a walk yesterday and used our tripod for the first time. It's one of those that can bend and attach to basically anything. So that was fun, plus it was a really nice day.

But WE found it!

http://www.snlbailout.cx/

This is RIDICULOUS!

Let's see if I got the law right? It is OK to accuse Sarah Palin of untoward behavior because it is satire, but not OK to use the same satire against Democrats?
Is this the convoluted logic of law or simple advocacy by people pushing an agenda?
"a brutal but hilarious Democrat-bashing skit aired about the $700 billion federal bailout and the insanity of those subprime mortgages, and it featured lookalikes for George W. Bush, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, hedge fund billionaire and big Democratic donor George Soros, and a parade of sob-story “victims” who turn out to be deadbeats, greedy house-flippers, and schemers. (The unedited YouTube version was taken down by NBC lawyers.) The sketch was embraced by Republicans for appearing to blame Democrats for the Wall Street meltdown. At one point in the sketch, President Bush (played by SNL regular Jason Sudeikis) even said, "Wasn't it my administration that warned about the problem six years ago and it was Democrats who refused to listen?" (Immediately Barney Frank starts to complain... only to be hushed by Pelosi.) The skit was very obvious payback for all the Sarah Palin bashing this season on SNL which was trying to portray equal opportunity satire."

Too few pictures

Well it's kind of sad, we went to Branson and loved it, but don't have any pictures. We went to Chicago for James' birthday and went to Wicked, and didn't take any pictures. So we took some pictures from the zoo, but we're sad that we can't go back in time and get those pictures. Oh well.

2 Year Anniversary

Well 2 years since we've known each other. It's been a wonderful 2 years. I can't believe it's only been 2 years though, it seems like it's been forever. We've done so much in two years, and other than the four months where I was in Austria, we've spent almost every day together. Some bad, but mostly good. I can't believe we're just approaching have been married for 1 year.

Chris' Farewell!

First we went to Detroit Lake, one of my favorite places. The pictures are kind of out of order, I'm trying to figure out how to get them back in order, but it isn't working. I have quite a few pictures of Chris slolem skiing. This was the first time that Chris was able to do it and I wasn't. But, he's a lot more active than I am. Ironic enough my dad's wallet was stolen at the lake and the flight we had for James to come to Salem had to be canceled and the one we could book was an extra four hundred dollars. Lucky enough my dad is the bishop so that he only had to get a stake presidency interview. Well the next day Chris went to the temple for the first time and my aunt Kristi and my Grammy and Grandad were there for the session. Two days later we started driving to Utah and stayed in Highland with my Aunt Karen, my uncle Covey happened to be there too and he went to Chile on his mission as well so that was fun. For Chris' last meal we went to Tucano's and my Grandma Bateman, uncle Jeff and my aunt Arianne and two of her girls came. And now we're back in Missouri.

Just my luck!

I think it’s so funny that I have bad luck. Well I really don’t think it’s funny, but it’s quite ironic. I know I told many of you that I am always on flights where someone throws up and that it always smells really bad and I feel bad for the flight attendants who clean it up. Well as I was on my flight back to Salem, Oregon, guess what happened!? There was a girl who threw up, but that’s not the best part, I was sitting right next to her. This was the beginning of the flight, so it wasn’t motion sickness and I was condemned to sit right next this sick girl who was throwing up on my flight. Thus we see . . . . I have bad luck and I will NEVER become a flight attendant!
